Trevose Head lighthouse cottage sleeps 4

One of four holiday cottages available at the Trevose Head Lighthouse near Harlyn Bay and Constantine Bay. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, parking for one car.

This is one of four holiday cottages available at the lighthouse which is located on a headland between the sandy beaches of Harlyn and Constantine Bays, four miles west of Padstow. The Lighthouse was built in 1847, electrified in 1973 and automated in 1995. The site is not open to the public and the four cottages are sheltered beneath a headland 75′ above the sea, accessed via a one-mile-long private road. Fine views out to sea and the chance to watch the fishing boats coming in and out of Padstow.

The cottages are semi-detached, with the lighthouse positioned in the middle. At the front, there is a communal tarmac forecourt with parking. To the rear, on the sea side, there is a shared, walled, grass area which is fenced at the cliff edge. (In the interest of safety, it is recommended that guests do not use this space). The South West Coast path runs round the headland and on towards Padstow.

Also on this site is Brook Cottage, sleeping four guests, Pelorus Cottage, sleeping four guests and Nimbus Cottage, sleeping four guests.

Layout
All Ground Floor Accommodation:
Dining kitchen
With a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Dining table seating four guests.
Sitting room
With an electric wood burning effect stove, television and Bose bluetooth speaker. Sea view.
Bedroom one
With a 5′ king-size bed. Sea view.
Bedroom two
With a 6′ super-king size bed (can be converted to twin 3′ single beds upon request).
Family bathroom
With a bath and shower over, wash basin and WC.

Outside:
Large communal, grassed area to the side of Brook Cottage.
Parking for one car. Additional public parking available 100 yards away.

Additional Information:
Two travel cots and highchairs are available on request (shared between the four cottages).

WiFi service can be intermittent. Given the remote locations of our cottages the Wi-Fi speed and availability cannot be guaranteed at this site The service offered is for light browsing and occasional use, services such as streaming and gaming may not be possible owing to the speeds obtainable.
Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
Please note that although the accommodation is on the ground floor, there are internal steps and level changes within the property.
A barbecue is not provided, however guests are welcome to bring their own, subject to adhering to the safety precautions set out in the arrival information.
