Situated in the high street of the vibrant seaside village of Lake, neighbouring Sandown, this cottage is ideally located to explore the many attractions on offer on the island. There is a wonderful selection of shops, restaurants and bars nearby, and a day out at the beach is a must with Sandown Beach and pier within 1 mile. There is something for the whole family, with attractions such as Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary within 2 miles and Shanklin and Sandown Golf club approx. 1 mile from the property. Head over to the neighbouring seaside resort of Shanklin, just 1.5 miles from the cottage, where you will find the famous Shanklin Chine and beachfront adventure golf.
Step into this enchanting cottage and instantly feel at home. The cottage is furnished in a traditional style and the ground-floor living space offers all you and the family will need to appreciate a wonderful holiday experience. The cosy lounge with a TV is a great space to retreat to and relax after a day exploring all the delights the Isle of Wight has to offer. The open-plan kitchen/diner is ideal for the whole family to gather and enjoy each other’s company whilst cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen with a Rayburn oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher and with it’s characterful solid flooring throughout. Gather around the dining table with ample seating for the whole family, in a bright space surrounded by views of the garden above. The twin bedroom completes this level. Head up the cottage style stairs to the first floor where the remaining two bedrooms can be found comprising a super king size and a double. The main bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle can also be found on the first floor as well as the separate WC.
There is an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage and further garden areas are found up steps on raised levels at the rear of the property. The rear gardens benefit from a rustic table and chairs, some sun loungers, a BBQ and an uncovered fish pond making this a wonderful space to sit out and enjoy some al fresco dining whilst appreciating the island’s microclimate. Parking for one car is available on the driveway which is shared with the owners office and is accessed via an unpaved private road at the rear.
