Porlock Weir dog friendly three bed cottage that sleeps 6, perfect for families on coastal breaks in Somerset, one double and two twin bedrooms, Wifi and off road parking included.

The cottage is accessed from the car parking area via stone steps down to the front of the property, then a few steps up to the front door. Entrance into the downstairs hall, the sitting room to the right features a huge inglenook fireplace with wood-burner, stone floors and exposed beams. To the left, the large dining room is a great family room which also provides seats at the windows, to relax with a book while enjoying the views across the bay. The kitchen adjoins the dining room and there is also a downstairs toilet off the dining room. On the first floor, the master bedroom enjoys a King-sized bed with en-suite shower room comprised of shower and hand basin only (no toilet in the en-suite). Bedrooms two and three have twin beds, and there is a family bathroom with a bath with shower attachment, bidet, toilet and hand basin. Outside is a small private garden area at the front of the cottage with wonderful views across the bay, plus private parking for two cars.

There is an upstairs flat which is owned by the couple that own this property, they only use the flat a few times a year. Feel free to say hi if you see them as they are lovely hosts!

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (strictly a maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £15 will be added to your invoice per dog. Please do not allow you dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

The cottage is strictly non-smoking.

The harbour is the ‘centre’ of Porlock Weir, which is approximately 100 metres away. There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller’s at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc.

The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from the cottage and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles away. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison’s are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

The cottage is available for week-long bookings (Friday to Friday) and short breaks.
