This exquisite detached house in a prime seafront location is what coastal dreams are made of – sea views, modern luxuries, and plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining. Located on the coastal path, you can walk out in either direction or cross the track onto the shingle beach. It’s less than 0.5 miles to the centre of Kingsdown village, where there are a handful of shops and pubs, and a beach that’s popular for rock pooling. In the other direction, it’s a 2.5-mile walk to the pretty seaside town of Deal with a historic castle and pier, and a fantastic food scene – the coastal path takes you past Walmer Castle and Gardens, which offers a brilliant day out. The port town of Dover with its iconic white cliffs and historic castle is 7 miles south, and the entire region is bursting with walking trails and nature reserves.

This is a spacious five-bedroom property, equipped to an exceptionally high standard and decorated with a subtle nautical theme throughout. Wide steps lead up to the front door and into a large entrance hall. To the left is a light and airy lounge with two large sofas, a TV, and patio doors leading to the front decking. There’s a separate snug area at the back of the room with a selection of armchairs and footstools, and doors leading to a rear elevated terrace. There’s also a ground floor cloakroom. Downstairs, the lower ground floor has a cinema room with a 75” TV with surround sound and extra large beanbags to relax into. Next door is a wet room with WC, and along the corridor is a utility room, a coat cupboard, and two garages, one used for storage and the other converted to a games room with an all-weather table tennis table and dart board. A wooden staircase with glass rail leads to the first floor, which houses four bedrooms. Another wooden staircase with glass rail leads to the second floor, encompassing a spacious king-size bedroom. Triple-aspect windows offer far-reaching views over the sea, and two of the windows tilt open to form Juliet balconies. A dressing table, TV and pin cushion chairs add character to this wonderful space.

The front decking and first-floor balcony with table and chairs offer superb sea views. Out the back is a coastal-style garden with shingle broken up by planted tubs. There’s a sunken seating area, relaxing outdoor seating, a BBQ, a short court that’s suitable for tennis, volleyball or badminton, tandem bikes and a hot tub is available for an additional fee.
