When you do venture out, explore picturesque Readymoney Cove beach (0.5 miles away) and Fowey’s boat-filled harbour (less than half a mile away) with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Kick off your trip with dinner-for-all cooked in the ceramic-tiled kitchen. Tuck in at the wooden, eight-seater dining table with wall-wide, sliding glass doors (leading to the terrace) that boast impressive views of the river, harbour, and sea. Watch the Cornish coast light up as the sun goes down, accompanied by your playlist thanks to the docking station. The ground floor utility room features a washing machine, tumble dryer, and the cloakroom has a WC and wetsuit hanging facility – handy following beach days. More spectacular views await in the first-floor lounge: gather in the windows-surrounded seating area featuring cushion-covered bucket chairs and a coffee table for your drinks. Nights in are best on the many sofas surrounding the wood burner and TV. Welcome quirky decor, from standing lamps to vibrant wall posters. The separate study also boasts a TV for quieter viewings. On the second floor, the double bedroom features an en-suite shower room; while the king-size bedroom, also boasting an en-suite shower room, offers harbour and river views. The separate bathroom has a shower over the bath. Two twin bedrooms featuring vaulted ceilings, one with a harbour and river-view, are on the top floor, along with a WC. All levels are reached via a spiral staircase.

Soak up some sun on the outdoor patio terrace, accessed from the kitchen-dining area, where a BBQ and wooden table and chairs make it easy to indulge in al fresco fun with spectacular, uninterrupted views of the harbour and river across to Polruan.
