This property is a great base from which to explore this ever popular area; and just a short stroll to the waterside front of Instow which boasts pubs, restaurants and pretty sand dunes along the estuary beach. Seasonally, take the passenger ferry across to the historic fishing village of Appledore which also offers a good range of pubs and eateries. For walkers and cyclists, the Tarka Trail is just a short stroll away offering miles of scenic, level pathways.

If you fancy a change of scenery why not visit one of the many sandy beaches that North Devon has to offer. Nearby Westward Ho! is great for surfing with its unique pebble ridge, offering free entertainment in the rock pools, playing in the surf or building sandcastles. Westward Ho! also has its own array of restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, amusements and a championship golf course. Other attractions in the area include Tapeley Park, The Big Sheep and National Trust Arlington Court.
