Luxury nine bedroom coastal holiday home in the Highlands, Scotland near Dunnet Bay. The house is dog friendly and sleeps 18 guests in superb comfort, ideal for large families and friends seeking a secluded base.

Beautiful spacious refurbished 1900 century lodge set on the Dunnet Estate with spectacular coastal views, perfect for families and friends holidays and celebrate special occasions together.

This is a sublime property situated on Dunnet Head in an elevated position on the most northerly point of mainland Britain and set among 1,800 acres of moorland with incredible views over the bay and out over the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands. Guests can enjoy the stunning white sandy beaches with crystal-clear water and dramatic cliffs less than 2 miles away, a hidden cave to explore and lochs to swim in with direct access to the owner’s sandy beach, less than 1 mile from the house. There are ample activities from horse riding to surfing. Explore the stunning local scenery – wildlife and birdlife are abundant; you’re sure to be inspired by the scenery that surrounds you.

Step inside to discover a marvellous grand entrance hall. The ground floor of the property consists of a beautifully light and bright drawing room that boasts an open fire and is perfect the place for relaxing on the comfortable sofas and reading a book after a day out exploring. Next is the cinema room with large comfortable sofas, large bean bags and a large Smart TV with Amazon/Netflix/Apple streaming services and a PlayStation, board games and Lego. If you’re looking for some peace, escape to the library with a large selection of English and French books. The spacious kitchen with a breakfast table is well-equipped to cook up a storm and has a Range-style double electric oven and hob, double oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler, Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. The door from the kitchen opens up to the dining room and is perfect for formal meals and celebratory suppers that can be enjoyed around the elegant table that comfortably seats all guests. The utility area with a washing machine and dryer also has access to the catering kitchen with a gas oven and hob, a large fridge, and two dishwashers. Completing the ground floor is a cloakroom with a ping-pong table and two separate WCs located off the main hallway. Continuing up the stairs, you have nine individual, beautifully decorated bedrooms each named with a direction of the local area it is looking towards. Bushta has a king-size four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with a slipper bath and separate shower in the turret and WC. Hoy has a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into 2’ 6″ twins on request) and an en-suite shower room and WC. Mey has a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be split into two singles on request) and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. Holborn has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room and a WC. Morven a family room with a super-king-size bed, single bed and an en-suite shower room and a WC. Olrig has a double bed and an en-suite shower room and a WC. Dwarwick has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. Stroma is a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into 2’ 6″ twins on request). Finally, St John’s is a twin room. These rooms have access to the family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. There are two additional fold-out beds for children.

Heading outside, there are amazing coastal views in all directions. The walled courtyard has a water feature, seating and a fire pit. You have access to around 1,800 acres of moorland and cliff paths leading to a lovely secluded sandy beach; there is also a path over to Dunnet Head Lighthouse. The driveway has ample parking.
