Fowey is a charming small town with shops, independent restaurants, pubs and galleries. There is a sheltered beach at Readymoney Cove reached by a walk of about 15 minutes through the town. There are lovely creek walks and the possibility of taking a fishing trip hiring a kayak to explore the water or visiting Polruan or Mevagissey by ferry.
The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive away, as are many other beaches and National Trust properties including Lanhydrock House.
