Dungeness luxury one bedroom cottage ideal for romantic coastal breaks in Sussex with dogs welcome, underfloor heating, an indulgent bathroom and contemporary furniture. Parking, WiFi and short walk to the beach.
For the ultimate unique getaway there’s the Fog Signal Building on the shingle bank at Dungeness. The former foghorn testing station complete with steel tower has been transformed into an unforgettable holiday home with an industrial design limestone floor with underfloor heating indulgent bathroom and contemporary furniture.
The sounds of the sea and the birds greet you at this intriguing and graceful seafront holiday home for two. With dramatic views from every angle of the house this is truly ’a room with a view.’ Whether you are relaxing, reading, cooking in the beautifully equipped kitchen or enjoying some music on the Bose sound system the dramatic unspoiled landscape around you beguiles and invites you to explore the completely unique Dungeness.
Create an unforgettable experience here and admire Dungeness from ’Fog Signal’ a former foghorn testing station run by Trinity House which was originally set up by Henry VIII.
Beautifully designed and equipped with Miele appliances it has a limestone floor with underfloor heating and contrasting bare oak ceiling to floor glass and beautiful contemporary furniture pieces ensuring not only a unique stay but a wonderfully comfortable and memorable one too.
The estate in which the building sits is a bed of seemingly endless pebbles surrounded by a unique and fascinating landscape. The sea invites you to the front of the home whilst the vast open landscape of Romney Marsh is behind. Not forgetting the most undeniably interesting backdrop of the Nuclear Power station. Quite like being in the middle of a film set.
The interior has been transformed with the highest quality fittings and materials and the addition of a log burner in the open plan sitting dining room makes it ideal for those crisp winter breaks. Through the large windows with beautiful large double doors catch a glimpse of ’Cap Gris Nez’ the closest point of France to England on a clear day.
The indulgent bathroom has two teak baths and a shower – perfect after a long walk. Transform the space in the evening and retire to the sleeping area drawing the bespoke curtaining to completely envelope you.
This really is one of our most unique holiday cottages in Dungeness. Enjoy a stay at this extra special retreat for two in the middle of a National Nature Reserve. It promises a uniquely memorable and peaceful stay.
