It is in the Hoo Peninsula, 6 miles from Rochester, made famous by Charles Dickens, and close to Cooling Castle in an area renowned for its natural beauty. The ancient village of Cliffe, less than 2 miles away, offers a blend of rural charm and maritime influences, the surrounding countryside featuring expansive marshes and wetlands – the perfect place for nature lovers and bird watchers. Cliffe Pools and the Eternal Lake Nature Reserve are renowned for their wildlife and birds. There is a traditional pub and restaurant, The Six Bells, in Cliffe and a handy convenience store in Cliffe Woods (1.5 miles). Further afield, visit Rochester Cathedral (5 miles) or the Copper Rivet Distillery located in the heart of Chatham’s Historic Naval Dockyard, 6 miles away.
Step into the charming interior of the hut which has been cleverly themed and maximises every inch for functionality and comfort. One of the focal points is the sleeping area, snug and inviting, featuring a double bed with soft linens, a bedside table, and a shelf with reading lights. Beneath the bed, there is plenty of storage for your stay and there is a hairdryer and hangers. At the other end of the hut is a wood burner, providing both warmth and a nostalgic feel to your stay. There is a small kitchenette, equipped with all the essentials required to prepare meals and there is an attached drop-leaf table with two folding chairs with cushions, providing a comfortable seat area next to the wood burner. There is an en-suite shower room with a power shower and WC. The hut’s windows frame the picturesque countryside views.
Outside the hut, there is a peaceful garden area, with far-reaching views across the paddocks with resident horses. There are two steamers with comfortable cushions, a wooden folding table with chairs and a charcoal BBQ. Enjoy al fresco dining or stargazing in the evening, snuggled up with cosy blankets in front of the fire pit, inviting you to savour the peaceful moments in this idyllic retreat.
