The golden sands of Hayle provide miles of beach, ideal for bathing and surfing. On the other side of the bay, St Ives has a host of galleries, including the Tate and many restaurants. From this property you can also visit Godrevy with its beach full of rock pools overlooked by its curious lighthouse and well known seal haul-out. Penzance is a reasonable drive westwards but it’s worth the effort for a day trip to spend time exploring Praa Sands, Marazion, St Michael’s Mount and the fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole. For the family, stop in at the Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in Hayle or travel to Flambards Theme Park near Helston.
