This stylish upside-down cottage boasts beautifully furnished interiors and a rooftop balcony with estuary views towards the village of Instow. Situated at the mouth of the River Torridge, Appledore village features narrow, cobbled streets lined with colourful, picturesque houses. Enjoy exploring the lanes and browsing the local craft shops, tearooms and the museum or simply sit at the quayside watching the boats come in. Well known for its seafood, there are many eateries available to sample the local produce. Catch the little ferry across to Instow (summertime only) and discover the golden beach or spot wildlife on the Tarka Trail. Popular for surfing and paddleboarding, Westward Ho! (2.5 miles) is also home to further shops and restaurants. Other local attractions include RHS Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal, The Milky Way and the Big Sheep – all within 12 miles. For walking enthusiasts, the South West Coast Path is on your doorstep.
As you step through the door of this delightful cottage, you will find all three bedrooms on the ground floor; there’s a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC, a king-size bedroom (which can be made into a twin room on request) and a twin room. A family bathroom with a free-standing bath, a walk-in shower and a WC completes the ground floor. Take the stairs to the open-plan lounge/kitchen and you will be blown away by the scenic views across the estuary. Relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy the ever-changing waterscape or enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV with friends and family. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook up a favourite recipe and the dining table is backed by further waterside views.
Step outside onto the rooftop terrace and relax on the patio furniture with your morning coffee and plan your day’s adventure.
