Waxham is a little Norfolk village located on the eastern side of Norfolk's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a rural village with few amenities but well positioned next to a number of larger villages and towns so you'll never be caught short. Waxham does have a stupendous beach however, which is relatively unknown as far as Norfolk’s more popular beaches are concerned. It could have something to do with the fact it’s conveniently hidden within woodland and dunes and has no real car park or beach facilities. Another beach is Waxham Sands, a much more popular beach due to its proximity to a holiday park.

On the whole Waxham is a quiet place rich in wildlife with stunning coastal walks serving up regular sightings of seals, colourful insects and sea birds. You can hire a bike from neighbouring Sea Palling and hit the scenic cycling route to fully enjoy these seaside wonders and to get to know the villages and towns nearby which include Stalham, Cromer and Hickling.
