The idyllic Rinsey Cove, also known as Porthcew, lies at the top of the Lizard Peninsula on a gorgeous unspoilt stretch of coastline very near to Praa Sands and just East of Porthleven. This is a raw beach that is surrounded by wilderness and thrashed by a lively ocean. It has a magic of its own due to the virgin sand and multi coloured rocks and is never crowded. There is a little hamlet a few hundred metres inland with some wonderful rural cottages but there are no immediate shops or amenities nearby.
That said, Praa Sands is minutes away either by car or along the South West Coastal Path that threads along the cliff top above. Praa has excellent beach facilities as well as shops, a cafe and a pub. Rinsey Cove is also close to a handful of towns, all of which offer supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.
