Moelfre is a pretty little historic village on the eastern shores of Anglesey close to Benllech and Llanddona. The village is picturesque with plenty of places to shop, eat and enjoy a tipple. Local attractions include the Moelfre Lifeboat Station and the Seawatch Centre whilst offshore you can often spot dolphins, porpoise and seals, as well as numerous species of sea birds. There are seven fantastic beaches in the area, notably the local beach of Moelfre but also Traeth Bychan, Traeth Lligwy and Traeth yr Ora. The Anglesey Coastal Path runs along these shores and there are many watersports to enjoy including kayaking, surfing, skiing and sailing to name a few. The countryside is typically ambrosia and teeming with wildlife, including many different types of butterfly.
