Freathy is ideal for coastal breaks and is located in the middle of Whitsand Bay near Saltash in South East Cornwall. It boasts a huge stretch of south facing beach which is perfectly protected from prevailing winds and so provides a marvellous sun trap. This is a wild beach with few beach facilities, however there is a lifeguard service in the summer months and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. The South West Coastal Path skirts along the cliffs above this beach and there are some adorable holiday cottages for rent as you approach the beach. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a proper beach holiday thanks to its beautiful coastal environment and its proximity to so many other stunning beaches, including the shores of Withnoe and Tregonhawke Beach and the sandy coves at Treninnow and Wiggle Cliff.
