Felixstowe is a classic Edwardian seaside resort in Suffolk, located between the River Orwell and the River Deben. The village has lots going on all year round and is well equipped in terms of amenities. In summer the town comes alive with colourful festivals, shows and events that brighten up an already colourful place. There is the Vehicle Run, the Carnival, a book festival and an arts and crafts market.
The local beach boasts waterfront amusements, a bustling promenade, Edwardian gardens and plenty of places to eat and drink. For those into a bit of culture and nature there are great bird watching opportunities at the local nature reserve and historians will enjoy the impressive fort-museum.
