Aldingham is a small village on the west coast of Cumbria in South Lakeland. It lies on the east side of the Furness peninsula that overlooks Morecambe Bay and is close to two nature reserves, the North Walney National Nature Reserve and Sandacale Haws, a National Trust reserve. It is also a short drive from the beautiful Lake District. Aldingham is very rural but is surrounded by stunning scenery, major landmarks and heritage sites, as well as numerous pretty little towns and villages.
Aldingham beach is medium sized and offers a natural shore of sand and pebble that is backed by hedges and trees. There are many more beaches along the Morecambe Bay coastline and beyond, whichever direction you choose to go, in fact some of the finest walks in Cumbria can be found along these coastal paths. The self-catering Aldingham cottages listed here are either on or near the beachfront with some happy to accept pets. To see more properties suitable for your four legged companions check out all of the pet friendly seaside lodges for rent advertised on Beachlets.
