Greece offers a contrasting set of experiences, landscapes and activities. It abounds in spectacular marine life, beaches and coves, thanks to over 12,000 kilometres of coastline, which is made up of a stunning peninsula and over 1,400 picturesque islands.
It possesses unrivalled ancient beauty and grandeur with countless historical sites and ancient relics, and its natural beauty and light never fails to enchant all those lucky enough to visit. There is no other land in my experience that combines such romantic architecture, blooming landscapes and alluring turquoise sea. Add to this a vibrant night life and delicious tangy cuisine and you’ll never want to come home. There are so many fantastic villas in Greece listed on our site, and no matter which location or Greek villa you choose you are sure to be close to one of its amazing array of beaches. Here is a quick overview of our visitor’s favourite islands. The island of Corfu is perhaps the best known of all the Greek Islands. It is the second-largest Ionian island, located just off the West coast of Greece and is very green compared to other Greek islands: it’s hot and dry summers along with winter rain have created an ideal climate for bountiful vegetable cultivation and a thriving olive industry. And although its popularity has spoiled some parts, this island is still considered to be one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. Pretty Paxos is the smallest of the Ionian Islands, lying just 11 km from the southernmost tip of Corfu. Paxos is also covered in picturesque olive groves, offering a serene and unspoiled landscape. It can only be accessed by boat and is often overlooked by the masses, making Paxos truly authentic and unique. Another favourite is Crete, more like a small country than another Greek island and also renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscape. Spectacular mountain ranges dotted with caves are sliced by dramatic gorges that spill out to sea. The east boasts Europe’s only palm-tree forest beach and the south coast has some of the most stunning beaches and isolated coves you will find. An abundance of fresh produce and the distinct Cretan cuisine – renowned for its life-prolonging qualities – adds an interesting culinary dimension. A beachfront holiday in Greece is certainly a great way to unwind this summer... so what are you waiting for!! Sophia - Marketing
