This huge stunning beach made up of sand, shingle and pebbles has rightfully earned its blue flag status. It has excellent facilities including a beach cafe, ice cream and refreshment outlets, toilets and shower facilities, as well as an established windsurfer club that includes a rescue service.
The sand dunes, wetlands and salt marsh that lie beyond the main beach are also worth a visit, as they house a unique variety of wildlife, particularly aquatic birds. In fact practically every type of seasonal aquatic bird can be seen around this spectacular corner of coastline so bring your binoculars.
