Watchet Beach

Watchet Beach lies just below the pretty harbour town of Watchet. It offers a sandy strip that disappears at high tide and a vast rocky area famous for its fossil combing opportunities. Kids enjoy hours of fossil hunting here and the village Market House Museum offers more fossil fun.

The tides rises very quickly so it is important to check the tidal time table when visiting. There are car parks and public toilets along Harbour Road and in the village there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Dogs are allowed all year round.
