Looe Beach

Looe Beach is perhaps the most popular beach in Looe as it is sheltered, sandy and very pretty with its backdrop of green hills. It fringes the town and nestles between a quirky ‘Banjo Pier’ and sturdy rock face that provides perfect shelter. This is a child friendly beach with large crystalline shallows that offer safe bathing and there is further organised entertainment in and around the beach during the summer months, including a boat trip to the nature reserve of Looe Island.

It can get busy in the peak season but it’s easy to get away from the crowds by venturing over to the East side of the beach. Parking and toilets are handy and cafes, shops and restaurants can be found in town. There is disabled parking, toilets and access to the beach, including wheelchair hire. Dogs are banned from this beach all year round but if you’re travelling with pets there are a number of dog friendly beaches nearby.
