Kingsdown Beach nestles on the coast of Kent below white cliffs, a sight very typical in Dover. The beach is made up of pebbles, but the low tide exposes sand and great rock pools. Bathers should take care, as there are currents and the shore shelves suddenly.
On a clear day from Kingsdown you can enjoy views over France and there is a lovely scenic walk that leads to the neighbouring beaches of Deal and St Margarets Bay. Facilities are basic but they do include parking, toilets, a café and a pub.
