Kingsand Beach

Kingsand Beach sits in front of Kingsland village and faces Plymouth Sound, offering a beautiful seascape, although it almost disappears in high tide. There is a mix of sand and shingle with rock pools and the beach is divided into two areas by some large rocks. There are often sailing boats, dinghies and kayaks dotted about the bay but this is a great family beach with calm waters for the kids to swim safely. The backdrop is made up of pastel coloured sea houses and there are enough amenities for a relaxing holiday without venturing too far.

This is thanks mainly to a nice choice of shops and eateries in the little village, as well as in neighbouring Cawsand, which provides a few more cafes and shops a short walk away. There is a car park that takes over 100 cars nearby and there are toilets, including one for the disabled, as well as cafes at the back of the beach. Good news for pet lovers; no dog restrictions are in place at this beach.
