Hive Beach

Hive Beach is a stone’s throw away from Burton Bradstock and stretches out for a gorgeous sandy mile. Even though the sand is coarse there are many other attractive features here including the dramatic cliffs and farmland that surround the beach plus the fascinating fossils that are embedded into the lime stone rock scattered around the shore.

On clear days, the Jurassic coastal views span from Portland to East Devon. This feels like a wild beach but there is an impressive café/restaurant, toilets and pay and display parking. There are restrictions in place for dogs between June and September.
