Charlestown Beach

Charlestown Beach lies just below an historic harbour in Charlestown near St Austell. It is made up of sand and pebbles and is the ideal cove for a day of relaxed fun with the kids as the beach is not too wide to keep watch on the little ones. There are also caves to explore at low tide.

The water is so clear that this is a popular place for diving and snorkelling. Around the harbour there are amenities and a great pub overlooking the tall sailing ships, making it a perfect spot for a scenic lunch. Here you will find toilets, shops and even disabled access to the beach. Dogs are banned all year round.
