Camber Sands is a very popular stretch of sand along the East Sussex coast and makes for an ideal family beach which is also popular with windsurfers and kite-boarders. The picturesque sand dunes are formed from sand blowing inland which is held in place thanks to a mix of marram grass, plants and fences.
The village of Camber is a short walk from the beach and offers a selection of cafes, shops and restaurants. The beach has controlled zones for dogs, dog bins and there is parking and toilets for the disabled. Interestingly Camber Sands was once named as ‘Best UK beach for sunbathing’ by Time Out magazine.
