Bigbury on Sea Beach

Bigbury on Sea Beach is a large Blue flag beach with sparkling views over the Avon estuary while at low tide a sand strip links the beach to the little Island of Burgh. The shore is made up of soft sand with a scattering of shingle and there are plenty of shallows for safe swimming. There are rock pools filled with creatures for the budding explorers and the water sports available cover all the surfing derivatives. Those holidaying with pets need to be aware that restrictions apply during the summer months.

Lifeguards patrol from May to September and dogs are restricted to allocated areas during the summer months. Disabled facilities include toilets and easy access to the beach as well as wheelchair hire from the beach cafe. The cafe also offers healthy and very tasty meals and snacks made from local produce and there is pay and display parking facilities available near the beach.
