Amble Links Beach

Amble Links Beach is a wild sand and shingle bay with rocks, dunes and cliffs near Amble in Northumberland. It is popular with walkers, families and those who love water sports and nature. There are some great rock pools at low tide and the views over Coquet Island are spectacular. There are boat trips to visit the island’s colony of puffins, its working lighthouse and ancient monastery ruins.

There are few facilities on this beach but there is free parking and toilets above the cliffs, which can be accessed along a gentle pathway and there are plenty of shops and cafes in the village of Amble, a short walk away. This is a popular beach for surfers and dogs are allowed all year round.
