Alnmouth Beach
Alnmouth Beach is a huge sandy bay with wild dunes that sits at the mouth of the River Aln. The part of the beach in front of Alnmouth village is never very busy and as you walk south it is even more deserted. Nature lovers will appreciate the wealth of sea birds and wildlife in this protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There are some great cafes, shops and other amenities in the pretty village of Alnmouth, but there are few facilities on the beach. That said, you will find plenty of parking along the sea front and there are toilets behind the beach near the golf course. Dogs are allowed all year round.
